The Third International Conference on Financing for Development took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 13-16 July 2015, resulting in the Addis Ababa Action Agenda. The Addis Ababa Conference was the first in a series of UN events leading up to the adoption of the new UN sustainable development agenda, which was agreed on 2 August by UN Member States and will culminate with a Summit to adopt the post-2015 agenda on 25-27 September in New York.
